blurstate is a founder-led creative studio in Porirua, New Zealand. It designs brand identities, motion and video, websites, and campaign creative for internet-native brands. The studio was founded by Josiah Green (founder and creative director) and Connor Sheffield (founder, operations), and the founders work on every project directly.

blurstate offers four services: branding (logo systems, typography, colour, and brand guidelines), motion (launch films, social edits, and animated logos), web design (fast Next.js sites with motion built in, including e-commerce), and campaigns (key art, motion, social cutdowns, and drop pages for a launch).

A full brand identity usually takes 4–6 weeks. A single deliverable such as a motion logo or a short edit takes 1–2 weeks, and a launch campaign takes 2–4 weeks. Ongoing design and motion is available as a monthly retainer with a three-month minimum.

Yes. blurstate is based in New Zealand and works remotely with brands worldwide. Recent projects include Humphrey's Counter in Wellington and SEEM Swimwear in Porirua.

Yes. Through Blurstate Groundwork, the studio builds free websites for community organisations, charities, trusts, and clubs in Porirua, Mana, Tawa, and Kāpiti. The organisation owns its domain, hosting, and code, and thirty days of support are included after launch.
